Belmont Interchangeable gun by William Atkinson & Sons. A truly lovely looking old English Hammer gun, shield for engraving owners initials to rear of action. Woodwork in VGC, lovely engraving to side plates including dogs, lovely brown colour to barrels, a quality piece. Locking latch spring A/F, Hammer/triggers function.
The Belmont Interchangeable was pioneered by Bonehills. The British gun manufacturers had been slow to catch onto the idea of machine mass production, Bonehills pioneered it and produced the interchangeable which was also, it appears, made by others such as Atkinson. The idea was that all 'Interchangeable' guns used machined parts and as such everything was replaceable with spares, it was not necessary to have parts hand made by a gunsmith. 28" Barrels.
Fully deactivated, comes with EU 2018 spec deactivation certificate can be 'broken' and dry fired. Would make a nice wall hanger.
