The No22C sight was the standard anti tank telescope until late WW2, the September 1944 maintenence manual states that the No22 will be replaced in time by the No41, so for most of WW2 the No22C was in service. The sight fitted into the sight holder via a removeable (but left fitted) adapter, presumeably designed to 'future proof' the sight mounting. The Sight was stowed in a slim metal case which in turn was placed in a metal outer case fitted to the rear of the shield in front of the layer This set comprises the adapter and inner and outer cases and No22c telescope dated 1943. The optics are clear, just the expected odd dust speck. I know when I had my 25Pr I could not get these parts, the adapter and tube are very hard to find and this is our last adapter.
