Scarce M1888/90 Steyr mannlicher, the first adopted Mannlicher straight pull design into the Austro-Hungarian Army. It suffered from jamming problems in use and was superseded by the Model 1895, however such was the shortage of rifle when war broke out in 1914 that they were drawn from reserve stocks and issued to the troops on mobilisation. These rifles are now very scarce and sought after by WW1 weapons collectors.
Used condition, various dents and dings from hard service, heavy gouge to left side of stock about 1.5", finish worn. Working action. Comes with 2018 EU Spec deactivation certificate. Photo shows actual item that will be sent.
