| BD0880 Quality Repro Thread protector
for the WW1 Vickers. During WW1 the Vickers MG used a screw on hose , the
thread needed to be protected as the Vickers without a supply of coolant would
only fire about 600 rounds. These thread protectors were dispensed with after
WW1 when the clip on right angled hose came into service and were removed from
all guns as obsolete. If you have a WW1 gun this and the hose listed below will
provide an accurate depiction of the gun in WW1. Please note that the chain is
quite distinctive and is 7 link not the original 11 which does not affect thge
overall appearance. If desired we can supply spare chain for you to add it
